About IPPAWARDS

IPPAWARDS is the first and longest-running iPhone photography competition in the world, established in 2007. Since Apple introduced the first iPhone, we have been celebrating the artistic vision and creative potential of photographers who use it as their primary tool.

Our Mission

We exist to recognise and elevate the finest photography captured on mobile phone. Every year, we receive thousands of entries from photographers in more than 140 countries, from seasoned professionals to passionate amateurs, united by a single device and an endless curiosity about the world around them.

We believe great photography is about vision, not equipment. IPPAWARDS is proof of that.

The Competition

Each annual competition accepts entries across a wide range of categories, from Landscape and Portrait to Abstract, Architecture, Lifestyle, and more. Entries are judged by a panel of photography professionals, curators, designers, and creative directors who evaluate each image for its artistic merit, composition, originality, and emotional impact.

Winners receive global recognition through our website, social media channels, editorial features, and digital publications. The Grand Prix winner is awarded the most prestigious honour in iPhone photography.

Masters by IPPAWARDS is our curated platform dedicated to showcasing the finest photographers whose work has been recognised through the annual competition. Our History

Founded in New York in 2007, IPPAWARDS was born from a simple belief: that the camera you carry every day is powerful enough to produce world-class photography. Over nearly two decades, we have championed mobile photography long before it became mainstream, and we continue to set the standard for what is possible with an iPhone.

Our archive spans winning images and photographers, forming one of the world's most comprehensive records of iPhone photography as an evolving art form.
